Job summary

WakeMed is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Level I Trauma Center in Raleigh, NC. You will deliver expert care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients within a high-performing, collaborative team focused on excellence in patient care and professional growth.

Responsibilities include airway management, nebulized medications, secretion management, and evaluating therapy effectiveness, with opportunities for internal advancement and a robust internship program for new grads.

Qualifications

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure required.
  • NC Respiratory Care Practitioner license required.
  • Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy required.
  • No prior experience required.

What You’ll Do

As a Respiratory Therapist at WakeMed, you’ll deliver expert care across a diverse patient population—adult, pediatric, and neonatal. Responsibilities include:

  • Airway management and oxygen therapy
  • Administration of nebulized medications
  • Secretion management
  • Planning, implementing, and evaluating therapy effectiveness
  • Collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team
