Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The PCU RN will monitor cardiac and vital signs, provide bedside care, and manage medications in a fast-paced setting.

This travel assignment calls for 1-2 years of acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and a 13-week duration with a 36-hour workweek on 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required; 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment; interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
