Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment on a 13-week assignment. Shift: 12 hours, days; 48 hours per week. Start date: 10/19/2026. 1-2 years of acute care experience required, ACLS/BLS, with NIH potentially necessary. Travel pay and benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience required.
• Associated certifications ACLS and BLS preferred.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring indicates issues.
