Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, titrate IV meds, and perform essential bedside care while working 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week travel assignment.

Requirements include ACLS, BLS, and 1 year of acute care experience. Expected duties cover monitoring, documentation, and rapid intervention in a fast-paced PCU environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience.
• Experience in PCU/stepdown settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed meds.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Respond to adverse changes and intervene as needed.
