Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in Bloomington, IL. This role requires a proven Stepdown RN with an active license, BLS and ACLS, and offers competitive pay, benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical team.

You'll work 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, with opportunities to enhance cardiovascular care skills and advance your travel nursing career while enjoying first-day insurance and recruitment support.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs to detect abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments focusing on cardiac care.
• Assists physicians during cardiac procedures and examinations.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients.
• Documents patient conditions and cardiac status; notifies physicians as needed.
• Responds to life-threatening cardiac emergencies per protocols.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
