Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU in Pittsburgh, PA. The role entails a 13-week assignment with a 3x12 night schedule, delivering high-quality, continuous patient care in a Progressive Care Unit.

The RN will supervise care teams, perform nursing assessments, and participate in discharge planning while adhering to policies and ensuring patient safety. A valid RN license with BLS/ACLS is required, with ICU experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH ONLY).
• Minimum two (2) years of bedside clinical experience.
• ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission, which will form the basis of individualized care plans.
• Identify teaching needs and goals related to each patient's diagnosis by collaborating with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide timely patient information for Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in accordance with policy.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Communicate pertinent patient status changes to ensure continuity of care and support patient safety.
• Supervise and train ancillary nursing personnel, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
