Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Honesdale, PA. The role requires 36 hours per week with a 12-hour night shift as a travel nurse.

The PCU RN will monitor unstable yet non-ICU patients, manage medications, and respond to emergencies with accurate assessment and timely intervention. ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are expected, with 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years recent acute care experience preferred.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret patient monitoring equipment; respond to sharp changes.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe patient transitions.
