Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota. The PCU RN will assess and monitor patients requiring close observation, often using telemetry and IV medications. This role involves 12-hour day shifts, 36 hours per week, and a travel employment arrangement.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications. Benefits include weekly pay, guaranteed hours, and education support.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required or in progress.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic monitors.
• Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions and communicate with the care team.
