Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a PCU travel nurse for a 13-week assignment in Rock Island, IL. The RN will work 12-hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, in a fast-paced progressive care unit, providing bedside care and close monitoring of cardiac patients.

The RN should have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS and BLS certifications. Various benefits accompany this travel position, including guaranteed hours and tax-free stipends where applicable.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays to detect changes.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring data indicate deteriorating conditions.
