Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Pocatello, Idaho. The PCU RN will monitor and care for patients requiring close observation but not ICU level care, with IVs and cardiac monitoring.

Position details include 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, travel status. Requires ACLS, BLS, NIH and 1 year of acute care experience; benefits include weekly pay and 401k options.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust monitoring equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
