Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU — Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Marquette, Michigan. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment, often in a step-down capacity, with exposure to cardiac and other critical monitoring equipment.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications, and is prepared for a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS required; NIH may be required before starting assignment.
• 2 years of recent acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
