Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Manchester, Connecticut. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment, often in a step-down/PCU setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience required.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.
• PCU/step-down care experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret displays
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data
