Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Johnson City, Tennessee. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment.

Responsibilities include bedside care, IV starts, dressing changes, medication administration, and monitoring cardiac monitors. Required ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications and 1 year of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1 year of recent acute care nursing experience.
• NIH certification or equivalent may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor effects.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment and respond to changes.
