Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Newport, Vermont.

The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, perform bedside care, manage medications, and work 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week assignment, 36 hours per week.

ACLS and BLS are required; 1–2 years of acute care experience preferred; travel position with benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience preferred.
• Travel nursing assignment in PCU requires strong clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care to PCU patients.
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients and monitor status.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and monitor effects.
• Monitor equipment and interpret electronic displays; intervene as needed.
