Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU – Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing assignment in Mechanicsville, Virginia. The position offers a 16-week duration with 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift, employment type is Travel.

Requirements include 1-2 years of acute care experience and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications. The PCU nurse will monitor cardiac status and patient conditions, perform bedside care, manage IVs and dressings, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical patients.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and monitor equipment.
• Administer prescribed medications and document responses.
• Assist with procedures and respond to patient needs in a 16-week travel assignment.
