Job summary

TotalMed RN in Columbus, OH is seeking a Progressive Care Unit travel nurse (RN) for a 16-week assignment. The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, adjust medications, and provide step-down care in a fast-paced setting with 12-hour rotating shifts, totaling about 36 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience and holds ACLS and BLS certifications. This travel role includes travel incentives and a benefits package through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications; NIH required or requested.
• PCU travel nursing, step-down/cardiac monitoring knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed meds; monitor adverse reactions.
• Interpret and record monitoring equipment; respond to changes.
• Initiate action to correct adverse telemetry when needed.
