Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Norfolk, VA. The position offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts with a tax-free stipend to be determined.

We require 1–2 years of recent acute care experience and ACLS/BLS certifications. As a PCU travel nurse you will monitor cardiac status, stabilize patients, and administer medications while using bedside monitors.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret displays
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data
