Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Bismarck, North Dakota. The PCU RN will assess and monitor patients requiring close observation, managing medications and IV therapy as needed.

Immediate start for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. The ideal candidate has ACLS/BLS certifications and 1–2 years of acute care experience, with PCU/nurse step-down experience being beneficial.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience requested.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data to address adverse symptoms.
