TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Bismarck, North Dakota. The PCU role focuses on caring for patients requiring close monitoring, frequent assessments, and specialized cardiac and medical care in a step-down environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring information.
