Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Bismarck, North Dakota. This 13-week travel assignment requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and offers 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift.

As a PCU RN you will monitor patients who require close observation but not ICU care and perform routine bedside tasks. You will use cardiac monitoring equipment to detect changes and intervene as needed, administer medications, and manage patient

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Travel RN with PCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Operate and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment and electronic displays.
• Take corrective action based on monitoring data.
