Job summary

TotalMed RN in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Progressive Care Unit RN for an immediate travel assignment. This PCU travel nurse role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and will involve 12-hour night shifts with a 36-hour work week.

The PCU nurse will monitor cardiac and vital signs, titrate IV medications, and respond to emergencies with speed and care. This assignment emphasizes patient observation and rapid intervention in a step-down setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 2 years of acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust specialized monitoring equipment; interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action based on monitoring data.
• Stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
