Job summary

TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown to join our PCU team in Fort Wayne, IN. The position is a travel assignment with 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, 22 weeks duration, and ASAP start. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS and BLS certifications.

The PCU nurse will monitor patients with cardiac and other needs, titrate IV medications, and ensure safety while providing bedside care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Care for PCU patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment.
• Monitor cardiac and other vital information using equipment and record findings.
• Administer prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Interpret monitoring equipment and intervene as needed to prevent deterioration.
