Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Saint Louis, Missouri. The PCU travel RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring and frequent assessment in a fast-paced environment, often called a step-down unit.

Duties include bedside care, medication administration, and use of cardiac monitoring equipment. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS/ACLS, and flexibility for 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS required.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and physiological displays.
