A healthcare organization in Syracuse is looking for a Pathologist's Assistant. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, describing, and dissecting surgical pathology specimens, as well as performing postmortem examinations. Requires at least 1 year of current experience, (PA)ASCP certification, and competence in handling frozen sections and complex specimens. Applicants with a Master's Degree will be preferred, and travel arrangements require personal vehicle ownership.

Qualifications

• 1+ years current Pathology Assistant experience required.
• (PA)ASCP certification required, equivalent certification not accepted.
• Must be competent in performing frozen sections and grossing biopsies.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and dissect surgical pathology specimens.
• Communicate with clinicians regarding submitted specimens.
• Oversee the operation of the surgical pathology grossing room.
