Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a qualified PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Charlottesville, VA. You will provide specialized post-anesthesia care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure safe discharge processes.

The role requires one year of PACU experience, an active RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications. Night 12-hour shifts with a competitive pay package and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess post-anesthesia recovery and implement post-operative care plans.
• Monitor vital signs and recovery from anesthesia; respond to changes.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per PACU standards.
• Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress.
• Coordinate with surgical team for discharge planning and handoffs.
• Operate PACU equipment like ventilators and monitors.
