Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN for PACU - Post Anesthesia Care in North Chesterfield, VA. This 13-week travel assignment requires 40 hours/week, day shifts, starting 10/05/2026.

You will provide specialized care to patients recovering from anesthesia, assess vitals, administer meds, and collaborate with the surgical team. Qualified candidates will have at least one year of PACU RN experience, a valid RN license, and current BLS and ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of recent PACU RN experience.
• Valid RN license in state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification and ACLS (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess patients transferring from OR and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness level, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per PACU standards.
• Document assessments and recovery progress in medical records.
• Collaborate with surgical team to ensure comprehensive post-operative care.
• Participate in patient handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
