Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing seeks a skilled PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL. You will perform post-anesthesia assessments, monitor recovery, and administer medications while coordinating with the surgical team to ensure safe discharge planning.

The role offers 40 hours per week, day shifts, and a comprehensive benefits package. Requires active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PACU experience. Travel-friendly environment with supportive clinical staff.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients transferring from the operating room and assess post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, consciousness level, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per PACU protocols.
• Document patient conditions, treatments, and incidents in medical records.
• Develop and deliver discharge instructions and recovery guidelines.
