Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) in Birmingham, AL for a 13-week assignment. Start ASAP with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Travel status with competitive pay, benefits, and a supportive clinical team.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of Stepdown RN experience, an active AL RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in Alabama
• BLS Certification (AHA/ARC) required
• ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC) required

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs, responding to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Aids physicians during cardiac-related procedures and examinations
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care
• Adheres to safety protocols and infection control guidelines
