Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Birmingham, AL. Start 09/28/2026, 40 hours/week, 8-hour days. Travel employment with competitive pay and full benefits, including day-one coverage and support from a dedicated clinical team.

The role focuses on post-anesthesia care, patient assessment, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safe recovery and timely discharge.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a PACU RN.
• Valid RN license in accordance with state regulations.
• Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification.
• ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification.

Responsibilities

• Receive and assess patients transferring from the OR and evaluate post-anesthesia condition.
• Monitor vital signs, level of consciousness, and recovery from anesthesia.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments per post-anesthesia nursing techniques.
• Document assessments, interventions, and recovery progress in medical records.
• Develop and deliver discharge instructions and recovery guidelines to patients and families.
• Collaborate with the surgical team and other providers to ensure comprehensive care.
