Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Duluth, Georgia. The PACU RN will provide observation and care for post-op patients, ensuring they recover safely from anesthesia while coordinating with the surgical team.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and certifications such as ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS. It is a 16-week assignment with 36 hours per week and rotating 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS/BLS/NIH/PALS certifications required or may be required before assignment.
• Ability to manage a broad patient age range from pediatrics to adults.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-op patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient condition.
• Monitor patients for changes and report to physician.
• Decide when patients are ready to move to a room.
