Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia. The PACU RN will monitor post-anesthesia patients and coordinate care to ensure safe recovery after surgery.

The ideal candidate has ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications and 1–2 years of acute care experience, with travel nursing experience preferred. This role includes a 16-week assignment with a 36-hour work week and evenings shifts in Atlanta.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• 2 years acute care experience minimum; 1–2 years recent acute care experience noted.
• Travel RN experience preferred; PACU experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide observation and care for post-op patients as they recover from anesthesia.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient condition.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and report changes to physician.
• Assess when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
