TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Decatur, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of acute care experience and be ACLS/BLS certified.

This PACU RN will observe and care for post-operative patients as they recover from surgical anesthesia. PACU Travel Nurses offer a crucial care step between surgery and recovery, and ensure patients are monitored for adverse reactions.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years of acute care experience preferred.
• Additional certifications may be required before starting assignment.

Responsibilities

• Observe and care for post-anesthesia patients as they recover from surgery.
• Develop individualized care plans based on patient condition.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and report changes to the physician.
• Determine when patients are recovered and ready to move to a room.
