Job summary

Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics in Colorado is looking for an Orthodontic Dental Assistant to support multiple locations. You will assist the orthodontist, take X-rays, prepare materials, and help with bonding, debonding, and bracket placement to ensure smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate has orthodontic DA experience and a DA certificate; bilingual Spanish is preferred. Travel to CO locations is required, and the practice offers PTO, health benefits, 401(k) and more.

Qualifications

• Orthodontic dental assistant experience required.
• Spanish bilingual ability preferred.
• Willing to support multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during patient treatments.
• Take diagnostic X-rays and attach to charts.
• Prepare trays and materials per doctor preferences.
• Keep patient records and photos as directed.
• Travel to Colorado locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Willing to support multiple locations

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient
• Instruct patient of elastic treatment
• Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
• Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
• Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials
• Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays
• Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients
• Placing and cementing bands
• Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands
• Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions
• Providing excellent chairside assistance and anticipating next steps to stay in constant mental synchronization with the doctor
• Taking patient initial, progress, and de-bond photos
• Taking scans of patients for clear aligners or models
• Travel to our CO locations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Prolonged sitting and standing as needed
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
