Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Billings, Montana. The role involves assisting surgeons, providing perioperative care, and educating patients and families between procedures.

The OR travel nurse will work 10-hour shifts (rotating) and support circulating, scrub, and potential first-assist duties in a fast-paced OR setting. Must have 1–2 years acute care experience and active BLS/ACLS.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years acute care experience as circulating or scrub RN; may include RN first assistant.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 13-week travel assignment in Billings, MT; 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery education to patients and families.
• Monitor patient during surgery and address potential complications.
• Prepare instruments and handle inventory for Circulating/Scrub roles.
• Move or lift patients up to 50 pounds as needed.
