Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse (RN) for a Billings, MT assignment. The role focuses on OR support as circulating/scrub nurse with potential RN first assistant responsibilities, for a 13-week travel engagement.

Requirements include BLS and 1-2 years of acute care experience; shifts are 10 hours at night, 40 hours per week. Duties cover bedside care, medication administration, patient education, and team communication throughout perioperative care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years acute care experience as circulating and/or scrub nurse; potential RN first assistant.
• Travel assignment; 13 weeks duration; 40 hours/week; nights, 10-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and OR team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Educate patients and families on medication and home care needs.
