Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Havre, Montana. The OR Travel Nurse will support surgeons and staff, handling circulating or scrub duties, and possibly RN first assistant tasks. 40-hour weeks, 8-hour day shifts, 13-week duration with travel benefits are typical for this assignment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse.
• ACLS, BLS, and additional certifications may be required before starting an assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and assist perioperative team.
• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients during pre-, intra-, and post-operative phases.
• Monitor patient status and respond to complications as needed.
• Maintain sterile technique and inventory of surgical instruments.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care.
