Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Washington, MO. This travel role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience as a circulating, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant, with 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include assisting physicians, pre- and post-surgery care, and patient education, with duties expanding to instrument handling and intraoperative monitoring as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub RN, or RN first assistant preferred.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required or obtained prior to assignment.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds when needed.
• Travel assignment duration is 13 weeks with a 36-hour workweek.
• Shift is 12-hour days in the operating room.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in caring for surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and operating team; educate patients on medications and home care.
