Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Henrico, Virginia. The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse, and possibly RN first assistant, with 10-hour days and a 40-hour week.

The OR Travel Nurse will assist in surgical care, handle instruments, and provide pre- and post-surgery education, with duties for circulating, scrub, or RN first assistant as needed.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant.
• BLS certification is required before starting assignment.
• Travel RN in OR with 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients, including pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Prepare and manage surgical instruments and supplies for procedures.
• Provide basic bedside care and monitor patients during surgery.
