Job summary

TotalMed is seeking an OR Travel Nurse to join our Rockford, IL assignment. You will work as a circulating or scrub nurse, with potential RN first assistant duties, on 10-hour day shifts for a 13-week travel assignment.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience and current ACLS/BLS certifications. Expect to support the surgical team, manage perioperative care, and participate in patient education while ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• Potentially RN first assistant.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and surgical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education.
• Prepare instruments and assist in procedures as circulating or scrub nurse.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications.
