Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a 15-week assignment in Rockford, IL. The role emphasizes perioperative patient care, instrument handling, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safety and quality.

The OR RN will prepare the OR, assist with patient positioning, maintain sterile technique, and document care while adhering to infection control standards in a dynamic travel environment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assists in positioning patients and maintains a sterile field during surgery.
• Monitors patient condition and communicates significant changes to the surgeon.
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting and ensures turnover protocols.
• Collaborates with the surgical team to ensure safety and compliance.
