Job summary

TotalMed RN in Pratt, KS is seeking an OR Travel Nurse (Operating Room) for a 13-week assignment. The right candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating and/or scrub nurse, and possibly RN First Assistant.

You will support surgical teams, provide perioperative care, and educate patients before and after procedures. Responsibilities include assisting in procedures, instrument handling, and patient monitoring while maintaining OR safety and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating or scrub nurse.
• Potential qualification as RN First Assistant depending on assignment.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications are required or required prior to start.
• Travel assignment for Operating Room RN in Pratt, KS, duration 13 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and OR staff in perioperative care.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery patient education and care.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to complications.
• Manage instruments, supplies and room readiness for procedures.
• Coordinate with team to ensure correct procedure and patient identity.
• Document care and maintain OR safety protocols.
