Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing in Memphis, TN is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment. The OR RN will prepare the operating room, manage instruments, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and quality perioperative care.

Requirements include 1 year OR RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS. Preferred ACLS/PALS/ENPC, CNOR. Travel benefits include comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room by ensuring instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies are ready.
• Assists in positioning and preparing patients for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintains a sterile field and adheres to infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents significant changes.
• Manages surgical instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocol.
• Documents all perioperative care activities accurately and thoroughly.
• Participates in handoff communications pre- and post-operatively.
• Assists with room turnover and adherence to safety standards.
