Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an OR travel nurse in Memphis, TN to support operating room teams for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant and be willing to travel.

You will assist physicians, prepare instruments, manage medications, and advise families about care while ensuring patient safety during 12-hour day shifts and 36 hours per week. TotalMed RN offers travel benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of acute care experience as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse or RN first assistant.
• Current BLS certification; additional OR certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and OR staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and OR team.
• Ensure correct procedures are performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate education on medications and home care needs.
