Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Memphis, TN. This role includes 36 hours per week on 12-hour daytime shifts within a facility setting, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits under a travel employment arrangement.

The OR RN will prepare the operating room, assist with positioning, maintain sterility, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications are preferred.
• CNOR or other OR certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Assists in positioning patients for surgery, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and supplies instruments promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and notifies the surgeon of changes.
• Handles and sterilizes instruments and manages specimen labeling and transport.
• Documents care in the perioperative setting and participates in handoffs.
• Restocks and cleans the OR between cases according to policies.
