Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves perioperative patient care, OR prep, instrument handling, and collaboration with the surgical team to ensure safety and quality. 40 hours per week, days shift, travel status.

The ideal candidate has 1 year OR RN experience, Indiana RN license, and BLS. ACLS/PALS/CNOR are preferred. Recruitment support is available throughout the assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent OR RN experience is required.
• Active RN license in Indiana and current BLS certification.
• ACLS/PALS or ENPC, CNOR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room with instruments and sterile supplies for procedures.
• Assists in patient positioning and surgical preparation, ensuring safety.
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates needs of the surgical team and provides instruments promptly.
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes.
• Manages instruments, sterilization, disposal, and specimen handling.
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting and ensures handoff communication.
• Cleans and restocks the OR between cases and adheres to turnover protocols.
