Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Indianapolis, IN. You will provide perioperative care, prepare the OR, and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

The role requires one year of OR RN experience, active RN license, and BLS certification. ACLS/PALS or CNOR are preferred. Travel benefits include competitive pay, comprehensive insurance, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications (preferred)
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and ensures sterile supplies are ready for procedures
• Assists in positioning patients and maintaining comfort and safety during surgery
• Maintains sterile field and follows infection control protocols
• Provides instruments and support to maintain efficient workflow
• Monitors patient condition during surgery and documents changes
• Handles instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocols
• Manages specimen collection and transport per facility procedures
• Documents patient care in the perioperative setting accurately
• Participates in handoff communications pre- and post-operatively
• Assists in cleaning and restocking the OR between cases
• Collaborates to ensure compliance with hospital policies and PPE usage
