Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room travel nurse in Dallas, Texas for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 1–2 years of acute care OR experience as circulating, scrub nurse, or RN first assistant, with ACLS/BLS certifications. Duties include assisting surgical teams, pre/post-op care, and patient education.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, RN first assistant preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Serve as liaison between patient families and operating team.
• Ensure correct procedure is performed on the correct patient.
• Initiate patient education per physician planning.
• Assist with instrument handling and sterile field tasks as Circulating/Scrub/ RN First Assistant as applicable.
