Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking an Operating Room Travel Nurse in Southlake, TX for a 13-week assignment starting 10/05/2026. This OR travel nurse role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience as circulating scrub or RN first assistant, with 12-hour days and 36 hours per week.

The RN will support surgeons and staff, provide pre/post-operative patient education, and handle duties across circulating, scrub, and first-assistant scopes as needed. ACLS/BLS/PALS required or obtained prior to start.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience as a circulating nurse or scrub nurse.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS and other certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and medical staff in caring for surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgery care and education to patients.
• Monitor patient during surgery and respond to complications with the team.
• Perform duties for circulating, scrub, and RN first assistant roles as assigned.
