Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for an assignment in Henrico, Virginia. The OR RN will prepare the operating room, assist during surgery, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality perioperative care.

Qualifications include 1 year OR RN experience, valid RN license, and BLS. Preferred certifications may include ACLS/PALS or CNOR. Travel pay plus benefits are offered for this 13-week role.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as an Operating Room RN
• Valid RN license
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room for procedures and ensures sterile setup.
• Assists in patient positioning and maintains a sterile field during surgery.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes to the surgeon.
• Manages instruments, supplies, and specimen handling per protocol.
• Documents care details in perioperative records and participates in handoffs.
