Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel OR RN for a 13-week assignment in Henrico, VA. You will support the perioperative team, prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety throughout the operative process.

The role requires 1 year of OR RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS. ACLS/PALS or CNOR are preferred, with other certifications sometimes required. Travel benefits and competitive pay are offered.

Qualifications

• One year of OR RN experience.
• Valid RN license in the state.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• ACLS (AHA/ARC), PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications preferred.
• OR Nursing Certification (CNOR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the operating room and equipment for each procedure.
• Positions and prepares patients for surgery.
• Maintains a sterile field and follows infection control protocols.
• Anticipates team needs and provides instruments and supplies promptly.
• Monitors patient condition and documents changes during surgery.
• Handles instruments, sterilization, and disposal per protocol.
• Collects and transports specimens as required.
• Documents care in perioperative charting and handoffs.
• Maintains room turnover and restocks between cases.
• Collaborates with surgical team to ensure policy compliance.
